In 2014, we created the first ever award show for the animated .GIF. It began as a concepting session for a brand, and turned into a passion project I decided to make with two creatives, backed by the incredible resources we were afforded at CP+B.
Enlisting the help of twelve panelists from Buzzfeed, Gawker, Wired and more, we gathered the best .GIFS of the year and released our nominations to the public. Over 500,000 people voted, and we announced the winners at the first annual .GIFYS award show in Los Angeles.
